Medical Research

 

From time to time Sark residents are invited to participate in research. This may be in the form of surveys of patients' views which we can use to improve our services. The information may also be used to investigate whether a particular disease is more common on Sark than elsewhere and help us to understand why that may be the case.

The practice is also involed in regular auditing of its services. This year particular attention is being paid to the areas of childhood immunisation, high blood pressure and diabetes.

Commercial Research

There is currently no research funded by pharmaceutical companies on Sark. Any future research would require the approval of the Medical Committee.
